Nice – Grasse – Gourdon – Les Gorges du Loup – Tourettes sur Loup – Saint Paul de Vence by the scenic route.
Grasse : born in the medieval period but only well known since the 17th century after the start of its perfume industry. Stopover with free time for a visit to the old town including the church, which has original paintings from Rubens. A visit to the Fragonard perfumes factory museum is next, and then a pause for lunch.
Gourdon : old sarrasin headquarters. Stopover with free time, possibility to visit to the small castle from the 11th century and his so pretty gardens designed by Le Notre (designer of the Versailles palace gardens).
Les Gorges du Loup : a 15 km long journey through the green valley of the Loup river.
Tourettes sur Loup : typical old and pretty village, specializing in handmade roof tiles and “violette” candies. (foto stop)
“Florian” candy factory visit can be included as second traffic conditions.
Saint Paul de Vence : royal village fortified by Vauban at the 17th century. An important meeting point of international artists, particularly painters, at the beginning of the 20th century.
Stopover with free time for a visit.
End of the tour , return to Nice.
